Bitumen Mastic

  • Technical Details

ANTICORR® Bitumen Mastic is Acid and Alkali resistant for use as a protective impervious membrane suitable for concrete, brick work, steel as well as tank farm area etc.

ANTICORR® Bitumen Mastic have good resistance to large number of mildly corrosive conditions.

Chemical resistance

  • Resistant to : most salt solutions, dilute acids and alkalis, water and alcohol.
  • Not resistant to : oils, Greece, solvents and some detergent solutions.

Surface preparation

Surface must be free from all dirt, dust and loose material. Any oil and grease contamination must be removed completely. The surface must be made dry prior to the application of the sealant.

How to Use

  • ANTICORR® Bitumen Mastic shall be broken into small pieces and heated.
  • The surface on which it is to be applied should be primed with ANTICORR® Bitumen Primer.
  • It is applied with straight edged piece of wood or trowel.
  • The surface shall not be put under service before 24 hrs. of application of Mastic.
  • ANTICORR® Bitumen Mastic is not recommended where there is excessive heat or solvents, minerals oil & grease are anticipated. It is adhesion concrete surface previously primed with Anticorr Bitumen Primer.

Cleaning

Tools and equipment should be cleaned immediately after use with a cleaning solvent. Hardened materials can be cleaned mechanically only.
